Régine Pam has been appointed Secretary General at the St Barthelemy and St Martin Prefecture, by decree of the French President of November 17.
A professor of physics during the first six years of her career, she has been working for the last decade in the scientific research communication, and specialises in the prevention of natural risks.
As a Risk-Prevention Engineer, she has contributed to a wide range of work related to the prevention of natural risks and the management of major crises.
Ms Pam joined the prefecture in April 2014 with her first post of assistant to the prefect of the Guadeloupe region. For two and a half years, she was particularly active in supporting city policy and drawing up the contracts for St Martin’s priority districts.
In December 2016, she was appointed Office Director of the prefect of Haut-Rhin in Alsace.
A year later, on December 11, she took over the post of Secretary-General at the prefecture.
